Alvaré House

The Casa de Alvaré is a detached mansion built of masonry and plastered on the exterior. The main building is three stories tall and is flanked by a two-story wing. The entrance is through a stone gateway with pillars topped by pinnacles and a ball.

The main façade features a regular arrangement of openings, with windows framed by ashlar blocks and wooden window frames. The complex is integrated into the traditional center of Alvaré and preserves elements characteristic of the area’s residential architecture.

  • According to the inventory, the house was expanded in several phases, which explains the coexistence of architectural elements from different periods.
