San Juan de Nieva Lighthouse or Avilés Lighthouse.

The San Juan de Nieva Lighthouse, also known as the Avilés Lighthouse, was built in 1863 to facilitate navigation and guide vessels entering the Port of Avilés. Located in a strategic position along the coast, it is one of the most prominent landmarks in the coastal landscape of the municipality of Gozón.

The complex consists of the tower and the adjoining buildings that served the lighthouse’s operations. The octagonal tower, built of dressed stone, rises above a single-storey rectangular building that originally housed the lighthouse keeper’s residence and other auxiliary facilities.
